Ambitious Heart

I am

 an ambitious heart. 

I want my dreams 

as much as my dreams want me.

Ambition is not a crime.

Wanting to nurture 

your own whole person 

is not a crime. 

I want a life 

that when I am 99,

that when I am a 100, 

I will be able to say, 

I HAVE LIVED. 

If I cannot say that, 

 I have already been dead

a long time.

My heart is ambitious 

for soul, 

for love, 

for peace, 

for the world, 

for people.

Your ambition is your nurturing. 

We need both.
